Well, let's see.. B finally made it back to Afghanistan. His sleep pattern is totally off and he is having trouble sleeping. It really stinks, but hopefully he will get back on track soon. I am trying to get back on my own schedule. I am worn out.. Kinda in my own little funk. Have you ever just been like, what am I doing... I am really questioning my job right now... Something just doesn't feel right and I don't know what... I think I am in a funky mood, but I might be ready to go back to public schools. I miss the "real" teaching... seeing a light go on in their eyes, or exciting a kid about learning, doing fun projects and really being involved with your students...(to all your perverts, I do not mean involved in any inappropriate ways!) I just miss "knowing" my kiddos... I do think it is important for the kids I teach to have a good rapport, or a positive classroom experience, but I get most of them for 7 or 8 days at a time... and it is against the rules to have any contact once they leave (and you don't generally want to...) so it isn't the same... Like I said I am in a funk and I know everything happens for a reason... so we will see what happens next year. I am fixing to start my 2 classes this week... Fun Fun, Teaching kids with emotional disorders and mild disabilities... Maybe I want to teach younger children...Wow, I can't believe I just said that...
Gage is having to getback in his own little schedule. Luke is busy with baseball and basketball... he is trying out for baseball and basketball is in the final weeks... we finish in feb...
I am ready for spring break... isn't that sad...
I hope everyone is having a great year... sorry I am venting about my funky mood... JB

You are entitled to be in a funky mood every once in awhile! After teaching little kids for years, I think I might like to try middle school. However, I'm not planning on going back until after #3 is in school. Anyway, sometimes we just have to bounce around in order to find our place. Plus, everything looks different just after your hubby leaves. I've been in a funk, too. Brad has only been gone 2 weeks, but it feels like forever.

I think you are brave teaching older kids. I teach 2nd grade and love it. I taught Special Ed. for seven years but they were only P-4th grade. My brother Casey and his wife Vanessa had a baby boy yesterday. He is a cutie.
